Fingers

Did I ever say
Whenever you put your hands
Beside mine
It felt too white!
Like snow on a mountain top.
Beside yours
My brown hands looked like a road
lying at the bottom of that mountain.
I never told you
I enjoyed looking at your fingers
They are feminine!
I would have been happy
to have such poetic fingers.
