NUMERIC!

The place is filled up with cars and people people and cars!
I was playing my secret game (I often play it alone)
And silently wondering that Places could meet places!
Chicago, Istanbul, Lexington
Even Mumbai, Kolkata, Sholapur
All found each other on the bank of the less famous Pigeon river.
Number seven--- Jhon Phillips with a team of nine
Number eight --- Alice Ridley with a team of five;
The sturdy man was calling names…
One after other
And a weird feeling caught my mind and made me numb for a while….
Numbers can make people happy!
Numbers had made people happy;
All politicians and businessmen
All professors and journalists
Even a mendicant sitting on a sidewalk of the City of Joy
Gets delighted after counting a day’s earning!

“A little above”!

An adorned room
And a newly-married couple;
I see them and I listen to ‘Cause the TV is on.
A different seeing and listening
Simultaneously happen from the city of Lexington.
With her bright-satisfied face
The woman continues….. About the “man” and his interests in music, drama, and poetry
She pauses…she continues again…
Now it is about hers interests in music and dance;
She sings few lines’ …
A kind of demonstration in front of the “ETV Bangla” representative;
She keeps her humble husband Always before her!

I see them and I listen to
I see place and position;
And I fear this--- this position; “A little above”!

Rose Heart

She said" you will be used to it"
Living alone in a room;
with no one except u and your soul!
She said, " You should be proud of yourself"
as you are thousand seas apart from home.
She said, while she walked over with me
.....in a golden-tiffany evening
slowly creeping towards an end.......

Her voice was deep!
coming from inside;
As she was uttering eternal truth shrouded in clouds!
And my heart rose from the ashes
to quench an everlasting thirst......
which was far far down
beneath the half-revealed Earth.
