Tickets

There was so much confusion!
So much unuttered words
So much mist and fog that
the valley of sunflower was almost lost!

A train whistled
A platform emerged
and people rushed off.

I bought tickets
that would take me to You;

You were afraid
Weren't you?

You and I: a love poem

I walked to the unknown!
Boarded a bus in the evening
And tried to look for you.

You just arrived in the city few days back
You--my young soul;
my inspiration
my conversation               with you
                                           So long!
that we could see the sunrise together
But alone.

We loved. Did we?
I loved. Did you?

Memory

It was not winter
we had just immersed Devi Durga
in our holy Ganges;
Still there was a sense of festival
and a thrill in the air!

My first meeting with him at the airport
reminds me his bright eyes.
