No Commitment

With his newly cut
short hair
he looked awful
And from his dark circles
I assumed that 
he remained awake past night
Only I could see his pain
even though he smiled;

His pain like waves
touched my shore
That is why
for the first time
I wrote him
letting him know
that I haven't made
any commitment
to anyone.

Shower

Wiping water droplets
from his back
with a dry towel
was my favorite.
Whenever he came out of the shower
and sat on the chair
I waited patiently
and when he was done
chanting his prayers
I cleaned his bare back.

But if you come out of shower
and if I ever get a similar moment
I would draw fishes and waves
on your back with blue
and I would send you back again
under the shower.

Your bare back
my canvas!
And I know you would
allow me to play with it.

With you
I don't even need to say words
With him...
felt something is lacking.

or trampled by a herd of antelope;

lacking vigor.
