Fundamental Right

You are not my property
Nor I am yours;
We both are free human beings
We are beautiful rivers
We flow parallel to each other...

You are not my property

Similarly, I have right to love whomever I choose;
Yet, it's a different thing that
we may commit to each other;

I can put a fence and claim

That is purely out of LOVE
And not for the sake of claiming

Your Love

It didn't go the way I planned--the evening
I planned to write,
but the evening became stormy
losing my inner peace;

Sudden external things
Sudden conversations
create such pain
that I would like to
run away from everything.
If something is here
that is your "love"
which I embrace deeply
to heal.

Planning for a Date

After rain
the grasses have grown much taller;
Looking at those grasses
Or may be imagining their growth
He thought of keeping them low
and ordered a lawn cutting machine.

Rain has almost come to an end
Or may be it has disappeared for a while
only to come back again later.
So, she planned for a "date"
with her other half;
She thought it will be nice
to see the kids in the field
like the butterflies touching grasses
and spreading their wings...

But he is way too careful
about his flower tubs
which are kept along the road
and could be destroyed by
irresponsible monsters;
Yes, he imagined them
as little monsters....

Thinking through the idea
that those monsters could destroy his garden,
he cancelled her "date"
and broke her heart.
