বাইরে থাকা

বাইরে থাকা তো বাইরে থাকা নয়।
বাইরে থাকা তো বাইরে থাকা নয়।

তুমি আমাকে রাখতে পারো
ঘরের বাইরে
দরজার ওপারে
পর্দার আড়ালে
কিন্তু হৃদয়ে আড়াল দিতে পারো কি?
সেখানে তো
আমি-তুমি মিলেমিশে একাকার;
সেখানে আমি-তুমি মিশে আছি
বাতাসে বহুদূর থেকে ভেসে আসা
হাস্নুহানার ঘ্রানের মত।

The same old pit

It still feels the same!
The same old shadow of pain and misfortune
                                                     follows her.
Wherever she goes...
Wherever she runs...
She falls in the same pit;
She lives in the same darkness.
Like the Karna
She is always pulling the wheels of her chariot
However, unable to lift it a single inch.
