Struggle

It's easy to pat each other's back
with false praise!
It's also easy to flaunt that you have all knowledge of the universe!
But it's not easy to understand someone
who has real quality and
who doesn't fear to ask questions.

In the coming days who knows
you might have to take strong actions.
How long you could satisfy someone with sweet candy
unless the person has developed other taste buds.

Since our last meeting
I have one question in my mind.
Could positivity and diplomacy go hand in hand?

Eid Mubarak

In the evening of your great festival
this piece of old city looked deserted;
It's not the usual hustle and bustle.

I am one of many
who stayed back to enjoy
                  its dusty and empty roads
                  its scorching heat
                  its narrow alleys and
                  its parched rooftops

Interestingly, some weeks back
I wanted to run away from this emptiness
thinking that I won't be with you,
                     Nor you with me!
But today, when I am truly alone
I gathered enough strength to be with YOU.

love my poetry;
Hold them in your arm
like you hold a child!
Love them, caress them
like you touch a newborn baby.
