Devdas

Extremely sorry Mr. Chattopadhyay
I wasn't ever convinced
by the character you created.
Believe me Mr. Chattopadhyay!
I wanted to appreciate him--Devdas
who drew million of admirers on celluloid
I wanted to become like him--
after I had a complete failure in love
and that failure led me on the edge of
dropping my final university exam
I was so dead, so drowned
so passionate that my only way out
to save my face was to jump from the rooftop!
Yes, I wanted to be like him
but a female version
Alas! there was no hard liquor available
not near me;
I was merely a college student
So, you can understand
I was poorest of the poor
My father was almost a chain smoker
but no alcohol type...
He never kept a single bottle in refrigerator
Mr. Chattopadhyay,
I was not able to forget
the way Devdas tried to forget Paro.

Mr. Chattopadhyay,
Devdas was a rich student
he never had to think of earning money
for the alcohol until he reached a certain point
where he was taken care by others
In real world, Mr. Chattopadhyay
there are many like us
who want to be Devdas to forget
yet to remember more!
But they have no means
What do they do?
You know?
They wipe off their tears in solitary
and they pledge to come back
Why?
Because if they don't
Others would suffer
Others who had hoped
Others who constantly sacrificed...
So, in real world, Mr. Chattopadhyay
They come back to see the light
and in the end they succeed!
